Hi, I'm Kelly — qualified chef, ballroom dancer, and founder of Kelly's Kuisine. 🌴
I was born and raised in Barbados, surrounded by the most incredible food you can imagine. Fresh fruits, vibrant vegetables, bold spices, and traditional recipes passed down through generations. Growing up in the Caribbean, food wasn't just fuel — it was love, community, and celebration all on one plate.
I studied Food and Nutrition, International Cookery, and Bar Technology, and over the years I entered many national cooking competitions right here in Barbados — winning several along the way. Cooking has always been more than a passion for me. It's a craft I've dedicated my life to.
That dedication led to my first ebook, Fine Dining Caribbean Vegetarian Recipes — which was nominated for the prestigious Vegetarian Cookbook of the Year Award by the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards — often called the Oscars of cookbook publishing. We made the TOP 3 FINALISTS. A Caribbean vegetarian cookbook, written by a home chef from Barbados, recognised on the world stage. I am so incredibly proud of that.
Kelly's Kuisine was born from a simple belief: that everyone deserves to eat well, feel amazing, and enjoy food that truly nourishes them. My ebooks bring authentic Caribbean cooking, natural health wisdom, and practical healthy eating guides right to your kitchen — wherever in the world you are.
